Me by Me : The Self Photographs
The Me by Me Series are photographs that I took of myself as an explorative narrative. As the subject of Project A , I use photography to capture myself and even explore how I come to form the ideas that later would link the letter project and some of the themes, elements, and stylistic devices that I often repeat or come to evolve in expansion. In working with duality what has light must have darkness. What must reflect must have what absorb. I see it intrinsic to our humanistic nature and prevalent to the artist. Without the duality we are not whole and I explore this with no qualms as understanding its very nature is integral to the narration of Metamorphosis, Cocoon, Unraveling Pillars, and Birth.
The first elements of duality, threes, juxtapositions, lines and surrealism are explored in this set. These themes will be seen heavily in projects A - D as you see the influence of my hands and the influence of the artists I am privileged to work with in parallel.
In note, the Me by Me series is representative of my truest creative persona as I invade the identity of my own self setting pace to the works and foreshadowing what is to come.
Note : This is in the expression of a visual art narrative. All images are for this intent.
